Lanikai is a pilgrimage for many visitors, a walk up from Kailua beach and into Lanikai. Some are there just for a moment to view the Mokulua islands, take in the sight of the offshore mokus (islands), then trek back. For most it's a day-long relax at the beach and float in the ocean.
